A job that I found that is appropriate for my age an experience is the $1 Jewelry Galore in Cedar Hill. It is not too far from my home, and also, the store is not too large, meaning keeping track of the merchandise would not be too difficult. Retail is appropriate for a teenager to work in typically. Also, I enjoy fashion, and things of that sort. I plan on going into fashion merchandising at some point in my career, so this job would give me the experience that I need. I have been in there and the environment is not too stressful. I have never seen it crowded, which is good because I do not have too much experience with customers. It seems like a friendly, happy environment. I do not want to work anywhere too boring, and I feel like that would be a good option.

The movie Homeless to Harvard: The Liz Murray Show was very eye-opening and inspiring. If I was in that situation of hardship and poverty, I am not certain if I could handle it the way that she did. Completing 4 years of high school in 2 years is very impressive and shows that she had drive. Drive is very important for achieving your goals. My favorite part of the movie was when Liz stated that she was taking ten classes and a part- time job but knew that it was not impossible and pushed through. Because I have been blessed with my circumstances, especially financially, I cannot imagine being that resilient. Very inspirational

My budget did surprise me. I knew that there would be many expenses, but I never factored in living expenses. I expected to only have to pay maybe three fees maximum, but there is so much more. Housing, car, utilities, etc. I also realized that I will need a job that pays a lot more than minimum wage.I dont think I could afford college on my own without my parents. I don't think I am ready for that much responsibility. I have realized that adulthood is not far away, and I still think of myself as a kid. To prepare for those responsibilities, I have to do very well in school to get scholarships also save up, and cover many of the expenses now by having a job in high school.

I would love to pursue the fashion merchandising and business field. I chose this career because it consists of being able to know what people like currently, and what they will like in the future. I know what looks good, and I have knack for fashion, and I am always complimented on my sense of style. My family and friends constantly come to me for advice on clothes, what they're wearing, and style etiquette. Also, fashion sense runs in my family. I come from a family of designers, seamstresses, artists, and professional milliners. I also have been told that I am good with making business deals and transactions. My goal is to own my own chain of stores.

My score on the stress test is a 14 out of 28. I am not surprised from this score and I am already aware that . This is an occurring theme since dealing with my last school which was emotionally and mentally draining and stressful mainly because of schoolwork. I tend to either take things very seriously or I not care at all. I can control this by just doing things that make me happy and finding balance and time to relax.

I admit that I am sometimes guilty of procrastination, as most teenagers are. I can stop procrastination by keeping up with what I have to do in a planner or setting reminders on my phone. My mistake is convincing myself that I have more time to do he task than is actually available. Also, I must achieve the mindset that there is no time like the present, and just do the task early. I believe that my life will improve when I start making these changes in order to prevent procrastination.
Procrastination hurts you in your outside life and especially student life. Procrastination is dangerous because it eventually becomes a habit hat is difficult to break. When one gets to college, procrastination can be their worst enemy, because that does NOT work in college! Also, the work is never done to the person's best ability if it is rushed at the last minute.
