The movie Homeless to Harvard: The Liz Murray Show was very eye-opening and inspiring. If I was in that situation of hardship and poverty, I am not certain if I could handle it the way that she did. Completing 4 years of high school in 2 years is very impressive and shows that she had drive. Drive is very important for achieving your goals. My favorite part of the movie was when Liz stated that she was taking ten classes and a part- time job but knew that it was not impossible and pushed through. Because I have been blessed with my circumstances, especially financially, I cannot imagine being that resilient. Very inspirational

  1. I see what you're saying, but one thing that you might also think about is that taking all of those classes and a part time job would be easier for her to do. What i mean by this is she was a homeless person who did not have much to do, so she filled her free time with things to do (school, and the job) the reason why people like you and me don't do that is because we get sidetracked by other things and blow off our school work.

  2. I agree that it was very inspirational, and that it takes a lot to complete four years worth of school in two. She worked very hard to do better for herself.

  3. I agree I'm not for sure if I would be as bold as her to keep going as hard as she did. Her story is very inspirational.

  4. I think that she was so tired of being told what she could and couldn't do that she told herself she had to do it. Everyone she grew up around were drug addicts and homeless, so of course society was going to tell her she couldn't do it. But she rose above and did it.
