My favorite theme of the movie, was that a woman can be smart, a graduate, educated, and still be a housewife. Just because someone chose a role in the home did not mean that they gave up their lives. . When Joan explained that, I liked that. Domestic roles are not bad, and you can be more than one type of woman. She was smart, but had more than one dream.

I expect third movie to be very informative, especially for the girls. The era didn't expect much from women, and the teacher challenges them. I think it will show how far we have come as a society and how much some things have changed. It will also sow us historical things that we may not have known. Very inspiring for men and women alike.

College vs high school exams.

College has allot less overall exams than high school. Even though there are less, they are longer and cover more material. You have to always take notes or you probably won't pass. The teachers do not stay on you like they do in high school. This forces you to do what you have to do on your own. You have a lot more free time in college so time management is also important. Making time for school work , and time for fun is more important than in college because they can send you home if you fail stuff.

I am very interested to see what college will be like. In college, I hope to learn to be successful in my future career, and be successful in meeting new people and becoming more independent. I am going to college for my family, myself, and my future family. It is very important that I go to college. Environment and people matters most to me when it comes to choosing a college. I hear many things about hate crimes in many southern colleges, but at the same time, I hate the cold that go with Northern colleges. A campus that is not too large is also important. In a safe place where there is a lot to do would be best for me.I seek input from my friends who are currently in college, about the college experience. They know first hand what it is like and I trust their opinions. . College will help me by preparing me for life. But most of all, I want to have fun!

A job that I found that is appropriate for my age an experience is the $1 Jewelry Galore in Cedar Hill. It is not too far from my home, and also, the store is not too large, meaning keeping track of the merchandise would not be too difficult. Retail is appropriate for a teenager to work in typically. Also, I enjoy fashion, and things of that sort. I plan on going into fashion merchandising at some point in my career, so this job would give me the experience that I need. I have been in there and the environment is not too stressful. I have never seen it crowded, which is good because I do not have too much experience with customers. It seems like a friendly, happy environment. I do not want to work anywhere too boring, and I feel like that would be a good option.

The movie Homeless to Harvard: The Liz Murray Show was very eye-opening and inspiring. If I was in that situation of hardship and poverty, I am not certain if I could handle it the way that she did. Completing 4 years of high school in 2 years is very impressive and shows that she had drive. Drive is very important for achieving your goals. My favorite part of the movie was when Liz stated that she was taking ten classes and a part- time job but knew that it was not impossible and pushed through. Because I have been blessed with my circumstances, especially financially, I cannot imagine being that resilient. Very inspirational

My budget did surprise me. I knew that there would be many expenses, but I never factored in living expenses. I expected to only have to pay maybe three fees maximum, but there is so much more. Housing, car, utilities, etc. I also realized that I will need a job that pays a lot more than minimum wage.I dont think I could afford college on my own without my parents. I don't think I am ready for that much responsibility. I have realized that adulthood is not far away, and I still think of myself as a kid. To prepare for those responsibilities, I have to do very well in school to get scholarships also save up, and cover many of the expenses now by having a job in high school.
