Scholarship

Scholarships are significant because they give people opportunities. Also, gives them job opportunities and chance to have control of their lives. Being recognized by someone else for your achievements is sometimes enough to get you in for an interview with a future employer. Scholarships benefit in the long run and helps keep students out of debt from loans. It distinguishes your achievements, you get recognized for your talents, and they can hlp you get into a selective universities.When you apply for colleges or jobs in the future, you have proof that in at least one area you can distinguish yourself from other peers.

College Checklist

1. Get about 100 more points on the SAT
2. Raise GPA and keep making A's
3. Apply for scholarships early 
4. Apply to colleges
5. Get more extra curricular 

8/28- apply to TSU
7/15-Apply to Baylor
5/25-Apply to scholarships
Yes, I am where I need to be academically, but I still need to do better.
I think I should modify my search because they don't all highlight exactly what I want to do for my major(Business/Marketing). I like that they are close to home. I have to find a better fit, even though I like those colleges. I am going on a college tour this summer, so I will be able to see what I like.

Education

Japan an our educational system is similar to ours. This is because Japan has developed many western traditions that are immersed in their culture. But, their ranking is higher than ours. They are #4 and we are #11. They spend 60 more days at school than American students.
Unfortunatly, a college degree is necessary to be successful in today's society.I am not sure if it's worth the time and effort because I have heard of many people who cannot find jobs in their fields, or utilize their degree. Or maybe even get stuck with a degree that you no longer have a passion for. In the long run, if you utilize the degree to your best ability, it is worth it. Also, it is important for social success. You are in a certain group of people with your sam goals
